Rising Above: Supporting Greysi, Marcela, and Asli's College Dreams

At Hope Scholars Honduras, we believe education is a powerful tool for transformation, especially for students who’ve faced unimaginable challenges. Today, we’re honored to share the story of three remarkable sisters—Greysi, Marcela, and Asli Marbely—whose courage and determination inspire us all.

These sisters have overcome a traumatic childhood with grace and resilience. Now college-age, they are pursuing their education but face significant obstacles that threaten their dreams. Greysi and Marcela are living in a modest apartment with limited resources, while Asli is staying with a relative. Despite these challenges, their spirit remains unbroken. They are humble, grateful, and fiercely determined, looking forward with hope even as they navigate the fear of sudden independence.

We’re rallying to ensure their college education continues uninterrupted. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’ve received a one-time donation of $2,000—a vital seed for their scholarship fund—and four monthly pledges totaling $550, marking significant progress. But we need your help to keep their dreams alive.

God’s compassion shines brightest for the powerless, as a father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). You can reflect that love by supporting Greysi, Marcela, and Asli. Your donation—whether a one-time gift or a monthly commitment—will empower them to earn their degrees and build brighter futures. We also ask you to stand in the gap for these sisters, praying for their well-being, protection, and success as you would for your own children.

Smyrna Church of Christ is managing these scholarship funds. To contribute or learn more, please contact Allison via email at sheconglomerate@gmail.com or by phone or text at 615-943-8926. Every gift and prayer makes a difference.

Join us in lifting up Greysi, Marcela, and Asli as they rise above their challenges. Together, we can help them write a story of hope, perseverance, and triumph.
